Daisy Bates was a linguist who recorded a massive amount of information about Aboriginal languages, in the late 1800s and early 1900s. The material is referred to as the ‘Bates Collection’.
Associate Professor Nick Thieburger from the University of Melbourne will be visiting GALC on Monday 9th April to chat about the Bates Collection.
Members of the public interested in learning about the Bates Collection are invited to attend an information session at GALC between 1.00pm and 2.00pm on Monday 9th April.
